Continuing Canadian coastal flight part 1

Featured Replies

We're still in Canada with a lot of Canadian airspace yet to traverse.

CYAW, Halifax/Shearwater, Nova Scotia to CYQY, JA Douglas McCurdy Sydney Airport, Nova Scotia.

What is going with the mesh in the first shots? Must have been a bumpy departure 🙂

This particular area was horrific.  Not only was it melted but on approach and landing it was 1 (one) FPS.  I took off and made this flight the next day and it was the same.  Everything else I've done from the southern tip of South America until here was perfect.  And the rest of my flight, now up to northern Canada was fine too.  Just this area.

Looks like they rolled out the gray carpet for your takeoff. 🙂

Hi Jack,

Your departing airport, or at least the runway, looks indeed weird and so uneven. Is it CYAW - Halifax and default in MSFS? The best way to figure out is to only have this airport in your community folder and try again doing a roundflight, if it persist then I have no clue what the reason for this anomaly is. I will perform tomorrow about same flight, and if same issue then address Microsoft.

Cheers,

Johnny

Hi Johnny.  Yes, it was CYAW.  And yes, Halifax and yes, default.  I think it's MSFS because this is just standard MSFS, no add-ons involved here.  And this flight and the one where I landed here, despite a week or so apart yielded the same results, a slideshow and melted everything.

I would be really interested to see what your results are and I appreciate it my friend, thanks.

Jack
