MK-STUDIOS EIDW Dublin Airport - Wind Generators

Featured Replies

Hi all,

When using the MK Studios EIDW scenery in my P3D V5.3 on approach to to 28L I notice an array of wind generators to my left.

AFAIK these do not exist in real life, even though MK Studios say different. I have done many searches and can find no reference

to these in RL. I have also tried to 'remove' them by renaming some of the BGL's to off but without success .

Anyone have any ideas, as to whether they actually do exist or as to how to remove them, please?

TIA.

How close to the approach are we talking?
The only wind turbines in Dublin of which I'm aware, are the ones in the ferry port terminal. I don't recall seeing any the last time I was flying into Dublin (although that was 4 years ago) and I can't imagine them being permitted too close to the airport, as wind turbines negatively affect radar returns.

I also don't remember seeing turbines in MK-Studios' EIDW in P3D.
Do you perhaps have a conflicting scenery add-on, such as this one?

Or possibly ORBX Ireland?

Thanks for the replies, however if I disable MK Studios EIDW the turbines disappear.

I have ORBX EU Ireland and Prealsoft Dublin, disabling them does not remove the turbines so it is definitely MK EIDW.

Approx 5NM from the 28L threshold.

If you have a look on Google maps, you can find those five wind turbines. However, they are smaller than the ones depicted in your screenshots. I seem to remember seeing those turbines at Dublin in the past, but I will need to reinstall MK Studios EIDW Dublin and PrealSoft Dublin City to see if they are still there.

I have searched and searched, but cannot find them. Do you have co-ordinates, please?

Just Mk Studios EIDW will do you, no need for Prealsoft.

Search for Father Collins Park Dublin.
