May 17, 20233 yr and also from Headwind's discord: A339X Update 0.4.0 We've just released a new stable version of the with the latest FlyByWire System (0.10.0). In line with our commitment to creating immersive and innovative experiences, we've meticulously enhanced and fine-tuned the onboard systems of the A330-900neo. These enhancements accurately emulate real-world operations and functionalities - this is our biggest update so far. In an effort to optimize your download experience and reduce the overall size of the base package, we've made a strategic decision to remove our liveries from the primary download. Instead, these liveries are now available separately as a Livery Package through the Installer. This ensures a quicker, more streamlined download of the base package, while still offering the full breadth of our detailed liveries at your convenience. We believe this change will enhance the user experience and make our offerings more accessible to all. In an exciting development, we're introducing the ACJ330-900neo as a second aircraft. Though the ACJ330-900neo is offered by Airbus, it is yet to be purchased in the real world, making this addition a unique and innovative feature in our simulator. This version of the ACJ330-900neo is highly experimental, but is based on planned specifications and data. It features a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) of 251 tons and a passenger capacity of 90, with a configuration specifically designed to emulate the type of aircraft that would be used by governments. We're thrilled to present this unprecedented addition to your flight simulation experience, and we eagerly anticipate your feedback on this new offering. At present, we have temporarily suspended the ability to install or update our public development build. This decision has been made due to significant refactoring processes that could negatively impact the user experience and increase the volume of support requests. Rest assured, we are working diligently to resolve these issues and plan to reinstate this feature soon. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this period of enhancement. See releases for detailed changelog information. [note: see my above post] Collaboration between Headwind Simulations and miniCOCKPIT As Headwind Simulations, we are thrilled to announce our partnership with miniCockpit for their upcoming miniFCU device for flight simulation. This collaboration combines our commitment to creating immersive flight simulation experiences with miniCockpit's innovative design of flight control interfaces. miniCockpit is currently developing the miniFCU, a unique autopilot control interface designed specifically for flight simulators. The miniFCU is the creation of two Airbus captains with over 18 years of combined experience and more than 15,000 flying hours. It aims to deliver an authentic and immersive experience, although it's not intended to replace any real Flight Control Unit or other avionics. In our collaboration, we at Headwind Simulations will be conducting extensive testing of the miniFCU with our Addons. It's important to note that FlyByWire is not directly involved in this project, and any official support or collaboration from their side will only be confirmed if they announce it themselves. We are committed to ensuring that the miniFCU integrates seamlessly with the systems we use to provide an even more captivating flight simulation experience. The success of the miniFCU project, however, is contingent upon the upcoming Kickstarter campaign, which is set to launch on May 31, at 16:00 UTC. This crowdfunding campaign offers the flight simulation community an opportunity to support the project and help bring this innovative device to life. For a sneak peek at the miniFCU in action, we'll be linking a exclusive demo presentation video with the FBW A32NX Addon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQP9Hipg9nU Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"
