FBW New liveries not showing

Hey Folks,

I'm a late convert to MSFS, but been simming for over 30 years. I already have the Fenix, but I'd like to try out the FBW with some nice liveries. For some reason, this appears to be the only aircraft where adding liveries manually, as usual to the community folder, won't make those new liveries show in the sim's AC selection.

I have a brand new system and didn't have this issue on my old system, go figure ;-) I have the MS Store version of MSFS and everything has been updated, incl. all drivers.

Any help would be appreciated,

Pete

You just extract the zip and place the folder in the community folder.  Don't separate the files into different places.  Your community folder should just have a folder that contains the FBW liveries.

I have one United FBW livery installed, but I really only use the Fenix for A320 flights, so it has a shortcut on the folder (ignore that arrow).

It should look like his in the community folder, minus the shortcut arrow (also the arrow on the Fenix AW file - that is MSFS AddOn Linker):

Are you downloading the liveries that say they are for the FBW, and not liveries for the default A320n? They aren’t compatible any longer I think.

Aslo - I strongly suggest using Addons Linker to keep your liveries in control. I have *dozens* of FBW liveries installed (outside the Community folder) and have them sorted by geographical area, so I only activate the ones I need for an individual flight.

Thanks guys. This is the strangest thing, I flew the default green/white FBW last night and loved it, and despite my familiarity with the folder tree and MSFS file structure, copying and pasting into the community folder doesn’t work on my new PC for the FBW.

I looked double/triple in the community folder, and the repaint folders are in there. These were new liveries from flightsim.to.

Help it, please 🍻,

Pete

If you go to FS.to, there are two A320Ns you can grab liveries for: the default A320n. and the FBW A320n. As I mentioned earlier, double check the liveries are for the FBW. One other way to check is if you load the default A320 and see them, they are the wrong ones.

Every now and then, I still grab a wrong one without thinking.
