No RC audio - again!

Featured Replies

Managed to have RC repaired and running OK - except there is no audio audible.

This. following a W10 update two days back!!!

I have had this issue previously https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/623100-no-audiblle-rc-sound/?tab=comments#comment-4827536

however, following the previous instructions audible audio is still a non-eventy!

At least on the previous occasion I could hear some chat but hardly audible even with speakers on 'max' and totally ususeable.

Any other ideas?

Ken 🤕.

The suggestions in the linked topic should solve the problem. I run RC4 on a separate PC so can’t offer any help, sorry.

Thanks for your interest, Guys...sorry for the delay...been under the 'boss's orders replenishing the chuck wagon!

I should have said that when in set-up mode, RC voices of Pilots, CoPilots, Controllers are clearly audible.

A failure to link to the Sim maybe?

Ian, when the RC audio 'fails' is when I am on The Stand awaiting instructions. I have only attempted this with a freeware B737-800 and A320-214.

I only use freeware aircraft because I make my own panels from the download and-or from 'stock' gauges. This has worked well for me for almost 20-years 😎.

Ken 😉

Ken, I only asked because in the PMDG 747, which I have, you have to "switch on" the radio before RC can be contacted. Could it be something like that?

Ian, good morning to you...

Fixed!!!

I gave in and did another un/re-installation which resulted in RC comms but when moving the RC-message window it disappeared again!

'One last try' ~~~ as above but now functioning as it should. All three screens working to my satisfaction 😃

I blame my limited 'dalliance' with XP that muddied the waters - so to speak.- not only with RC but also Little Nav Map.

I shall now stay where I am 'comfortable' but thank you for your time and patience 😎.

Ken 😉
