A quick buzz around KSTL in the CowanSIm 222B. Hesitated on getting this for a while - I seem to buy choppers and then ignore them - but I do like the look of this one, and in spite of the comments on some of their vendor sites you don't need to use the mouse for the throttle. First flight out, and got up and down more or less ok, if a bit wobbly on occasions - she seems a little sensitive, but fun (ahhh, fifty years ago that phrase would have had all sorts of other connotations . . .).

The airport is nothing fantastic, no interiors or anything, but the default is truly plain and ugly, so as it was cheap on JustFlight and I had loyalty points to spend I went for it. Feelthere seems to be one of those airport creators that I buy, but then replace when a better one comes along.

So nothing amazing here, but nice countryside and setting. Didn't get to downtown this time but I'll go back tomorrow and take a look around. I won't comment any more, just stick the pictures up in case anybody else is contemplating either of these packages.

Will, John, Jack, PMp and Daryll - thanks!

The guy we bought our last bookshop from was sometimes considered a bit of a grump when he was in the shop, but he popped in to see us a couple of years after we'd teken over and he was a different person altogether. I made a remark along the lines of "you're looking well" and he replied "yes, I realise now I was born to be retired". And that pretty much sums it up for me. If I could be *rsed, I'd have a few T-shirts printed up like that.

And the sims are the icing on the cake!
