Cessna 310 R Update

I think I'd love the plane if theyd just work on the flight dynamics a bit.  I am patiently waiting on A2A's release to resume my vfr flying 🙂

That's entirely the reason I stopped flying it. A wonderful addon marred by an old-school flight model.

OTOH, there's FSWs 414 with very nice CFD while we wait (and wait...) for A2As Comanche

I have had the 310 for awhile now but really havent flown it that much.  I flew it once since the update but didnt get to land due to real world time constraints.  I find that the 310 pulls to the right way too much  both on the ground and level flight.  Its a twin prop and it seems like its an extremely light plane with a single prop up front, it just has that feel to it.  What are your thoughts?

That's likely the default plane model that the simulated airflow is pushing against. I.e., it has nothing to do with the 3D model we see...

At FS Expo, Seb said they're going to fix all that in v2024.

I don't know what FlySimware did but the 414 has a marvelous flight model; despite all the engine and system simulation in the 310 I much prefer the 414. It shows the importance of a sound flight model above all else. Strange, because the Blackbird Porter has a great model.

MSFS 2024. Primary Planes: Black Square TBM850, Duke, Baron, Caravan; A2A Comanche; FSReborn Phenom; Fexix A321; PMDG 737-7, 777: Utilities: Active Sky (Passive Mode); BATC, FSLTL.

They spent the time to learn & implement CFD, that's what 🙂

CFD is essentially the MSFS answer to BET in X-Plane.

I badly want to love this aircraft. IRL I have a friend that is a 310 owner. I flew the Milviz extensively in P3D; so much so that I built custom panels that model every toggle switch in the cockpit. I wrote all of the LUA code to make it work.  Man that was a great aircraft in every way.

the MSFS flight model feels very twitchy to me now. I parrot what others have said here comparing the C414 - I concur.

After this latest update, my default cockpit eye point in VR is clipping through the left cockpit wall. - can anyone advise on how to fix this? I assume some config file, but what file and where?

I did get my panels working in MSFS thanks to the variables published to FSUIPC - so that is great progress!

I hope Milviz continues to update what could otherwise be an extraordinary simulated 310.

Kind Regards,

Chris
