July 19, 20232 yr Hi, I'm thinking about switching from PF3 to VOXATC (waiting for the integration of AIGFPs). MCE and PF3 work very well together, practically perfectly. From what I've read, the integration with VOXATC isn't as comprehensive, and the way to do it is to have the VOXATC-FO handle the radio, and have the MCE-FO (with the same TTS voice) for the other FO tasks. Does that mean the FOs will sometimes talk over each other (with the same TTS voice), or is MCE aware that VOXATC's FO is talking? And: Are there other things (drawbacks) to consider? July 19, 20232 yr "tis a complex question you ask ..... assuming at least a P3D scenario of course MCE uses voicescript phrases to communicate with PF3 .... whereas VoxATC is direct speech recognition Yes, I always "fly" heavies so PNF in VoxATC & MCE for PNF commands ... brilliant. There is an option in MCE to "mute" VoxATC comms for PF (eg VFR), but have never used ,,,, so Gerald your advice please for now, cheers john martin
July 19, 20232 yr Commercial Member All you have to do is switch MCE ATC mode to "Other ATC" (as you would do with Pilot2ATC or Vatsim. Assign the same PTT joystick button you assigned in MCE for ATC in VoxAtc or other ATC and when you transmmit to ATC, Fo won't try to interpret your ATC speech. MCE doesn't interact with neither VoxATC nor Pilot2ATC, this means you could have the Fo occasionally speak wat MCE tells it to but also what the other program wants him to say.
