August 10, 20232 yr So I'm using the t-rudder pedals and they don't seem to be working properly. the only way I can get them to work is by setting the left and right brake axis to reverse. this is very inconvenient as I don't want to have to hold the pedals down for taxi, take off and landing. I've tried using FSUIPC to sort this out but I don't know how to use it properly as i only just installed it. i know many others have encountered this problem and have managed to fix it but they don't specify how they did so. Can anyone offer any help to this?
August 10, 20232 yr Going into P3d controls/axis settings for your rudder pedals and tick the box's for reverse axis should work, it does for me. Best regards. Malcolm Malcolm Hancock

Then go back into P3D axis settings and untick the 'reverse controls' boxes for the brakes. If that does not work, read on. Are you saying the problem is with the rudder controls being affected by the brake settings, or is the problem just with the brake operation. In either case, check in P3D settings to see if anything else is assigned to controlling the rudders or brakes. You may have duplicated functions opposing each other. Also recheck the calibration of your brakes control. If you calibrated in FSUIPC, make sure you did not set a centre point in the control movement. If you don't know how to use FSUIPC, the best place to start is the excellent manual that comes with the software. For fault finding, you could cancel any FSUIPC settings you have made for the rudders and brakes. Then assign and calibrate each of these functions in P3D. Only tick the 'Reverse Control' boxes if necessary to get the correct direction of movement for each individual control. This could mean one brake needs reversing, but not the other. Strangely, this is not always immediately obvious. Hope this helps. John B
