August 21, 20232 yr I use a CH Products Yoke, Throttle Quadrant, and Rudder Pedals. Since i use the Throttle Quadrant, I am not using the three levers and axis on the CH Yoke. Is there a way to asign them to say flaps, speed brake, slats? Those all require definite set points, I think. Thanks Edited August 21, 20232 yr by Stratocruiser1
August 21, 20232 yr Off course you can. You can assign them to anything in the Controller configuration in MSFS. Thanks What aircraft are you trying to configure this for? I fly mostly GA so a simple flaps up/down button is the most realistic for me. I used one of the 2-way switches on the yoke for this when I was using the CH yoke. I think most airliner addons use the flaps axis as input and translate the axis% into discrete flap settings. If so the work is already done for you. To do this yourself you will need software like AxisandOhs or FSUIPC. Thanks Currently using the right 2 grey up/down switches for this. Inner is gear up/down and outer is flaps up/down. Doing this to simulate those respective lever areas relative to one another, on a real panel in a plane. Edited August 21, 20232 yr by Flyfaster_MTN002 SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.

Presently I have assigned other things to all my switches, so that is why I was looking to assign them to the three unused levers on my yoke. Thanks

By the way, I am trying to do this with the DC-3 as that is my primary plane. Thanks

If it doesn't you might need to use buy AxisandOhs or something like it to allow you to assign events to the lever positions. It can take some time, skill and luck to find out which events you will need to change. Sometimes you might even have to write a script to make the flaps do exactly what you want. It might be simpler just to assign one of the 2-way switches to flaps. August 27, 20232 yr Author There is no Axis for flaps as far as I know. I have changed around some of my switch assignments and am now using the two red buttons on the top of my CH Products Yoke for incremental extension and retraction and that works really well. Thanks

You can see here the simple 'up button/down button' and also the fully variable 'Flaps Axis'. Make sure you have set your controls filter to 'All' and not 'Assigned'. The latter will just show you what you are using rather than what's available and maybe why you can't see the Flaps Axis in the list.
