August 29, 20232 yr To keep my sanity while working on a payware project I put together a quick freeware project for MSFS with the help of John Young from MAIW and Andy Carroll (AIG). Thanks to them for granting permission of their models to be used as static aircraft in this scenery. Hurlburt Field is now available as freeware at flightsim.tohttps://flightsim.to/file/60189/hurlburt-field-fl-usaf-khrt
August 30, 20232 yr Wow, nice, thanks for making Hurlburt. Back in FS98 or FS2000 days I replicated a real-world AC-130 flight. It was non-stop (with aerial refueling) from Hurlburt to South Korea. At the time I think it was a record for an AC-130. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

The MC-130E’s broke a record in 1996 flying from Hurlburt to Saudi Arabia, two ship, air refueling all the way, 28.4 hours. We had an additional crew on board. I know as I was on the lead plane, LOL. The AC-130U flight was 36 hours in 1997. I've enjoyed some CV-22 flights around Hurlburt while building it and hopefully a proper C-130J will be coming to the sim one day soon!

We go to Fort Walton Beach/Destin every few years and I've done some photography of planes landing and taking off from Hurlburt and is one of my places in the sim to fly sometimes so I wanted to at least get a good looking airfield done with default objects as the base airfield in the sim was not good at all.
