Current list of what is 'wrong' or missing in FS2020?

I miss the ability to favorite aircraft and have those in a separate list. C'mon... every time I want to change it's like a search party.

I agree a favorites list is a good idea, however if it's like a search party for you have you found the search input field yet?  I use 4 different planes is all.  When I want to bring up for example the FBW 320NX all I have to type in that field is "LEA" and up it pops.  Same for the others in my favorites.

I don't think it was the purpose of the thread to deliver a detailed explanation for each wish/issue and it wasn't meant as a bug-reporter to Asobo. And most of these points are known since long, like for example the bad ground-physics. It's also based on what older or other simulators could do or can. For example a better replay-tool means a more intuitive one: starting the replay after the flight and that's it. No need to activate it inside the developper-mode and set it up before the landing etc. Same with metars; that's a well known topic if you follow the MSFS-forum. The sky colours as well; there is a thread here about that possible improvement. And so on.

My sense too is that most all of these items are ultra well known by MS/Asobo and so a lot of them are addressed now with what amounts to "placeholders" until they can get back to addressing them better.  It will be interesting to see what 2024 brings in this regard.  Especially cool is the touted major improvement in performance thru better multi core/thread architecture and this is no trivial thing not so much because we need that right now for the current state of the sim, but because it opens the door for improvements like better cloud resolution/depiction, organic seasonal changes, 3D trees, auroras, better turbulence physics relating to clouds and weather, etc etc.  It's quite possible they will include some of the very meaningful but simple to add low hanging fruit to help make 2024 compelling, like the simple button-press fly-by and tower views everyone would love to see again.
