Hello @ll,

this is an older topic, so just a reminder. The AAO StreamDeck plugin can be used to display the contents of the StreamDeck to an AAO, WebPage, Desktop or Web Gauge. With this you can for example see your StreamDeck in VR...

Please visit the axisandohs.com website, section "Downloads" for details.

A silly question.

With the AAO StreamDeck plugin, is it necessary to have a physical StreamDeck ? 😀

Sorry, no idea. I would imagine that the StreamDeck software would not run/initialize properly if there never was a physical device (or their mobile app) involved.

For example, you cannot change the deck size in the Elgato software, it reads that from your hardware. So you are probably stuck with the smallest overlay possible (2x3 buttons?).

You might look into the mobile version. On my iPad Pro the mobile version supports 8x8 buttons, that is 64 buttons per page which is twice what the physical hardware has (Stream Deck, not Stream Deck Plus).

This is awesome. As someone who switches back and forth in VR I love it.

1. Each time I want to use a different plane, i.e. profile, do I need to go in and generate new buttons? Or can I have a different webFIP for each? And have it load with the specific plane?

2. Trying to get it to a decent size in VR required me to about scroll my finger off. Is there a way to set the size easier?

3. Adding one more thing…the images don’t seem to appear after I exit, come back and restart the computer. The gauges seem to work but the buttons don’t. I have to exit everything and generate again for it all to appear.

Again…I think this is great.

1. One cannot load a specific SD profile from the outside (=it is not possible to associate a profile with a plane and have it load automatically). You have to select the desired profile in the StreamDeck software every time (or create navigations buttons on the SD like many profile developers do that jump between different profiles or pages)

2. You can set the Zoom factor for the InGame Panel in the "Gauges" menu

3. That sounds wrong. Once the images for the static/non-AAO actions have been generated with the Editor, they are saved to disk as actual image files. There is no reason for them to disappear. I would need specifics about your use case = please send an email with your proof of purchase to the support address

This looks REALLY interesting for VR but stumbling at first hurdle LOL
"Copy the contents of WebPages.zip and UserGauges.zip into Documemts\LorbyAxisAndOhs Files"
what are these zip files referred to?

thanks

The download on the AxisAndOhs.com webpage, Section "Downloads", where it says "Prototype: Streaming the StreamDeck"

Edit: Oh, I see. Those aren't separate ZIP files anymore, they are just folders in the main download package "streaming_the_streamdeck.zip". The contents of those folders have to be copied.

Got it..thanks 🙂

To be precise - there are the same folders in Documents\LorbyAxisAndOhs Files. That is where the contents have to go. I will update the PDF right away

Sorry, haven't had that one before. Sounds like a critical error happened when the app tried to read and understand the SD profiles. When Windows decides to terminate a program, there should be an error message in the Windows Event Logs. I would have to see that message to get an idea about what is going wrong on your computer. This is not a common thing and probably caused by an SD plugin of some sort. What plugins are you using and did you update the StreamDeck software regularly?

Is there another one with the actual stacktrace? Those messages above don't tell me anything, just that "something went wrong"...

Might be easier just sending me an email to the support address - you will find that on the last page of the AAO manual.
