Looks like, it's certainly, an (atmospheric) improvement initiative that MSFS users can look forward to...

BTW, nice choice of airports and timing, for your (short) Test-flight. Here, you're lifting off EDDF/Frankfurt in the twilight glow. In the past, I've landed there (as an LH A330/340 passenger) many times (in the early morning hours), the LH flights from U.S. (Chicago) always used to reach Frankfurt around 5am-7am...and when, I would try to catch the first glimpses of the rising Sun through the cabin-windows, it would indeed look like what you've shown in your screenshots...
