Interesting as I just today saw that 5 or 6 times for the very first time ever. I run MSFS fullscreen but often switch to chrome for simbrief, avsim or general browsing. And today MSFS completely stopped as in paused when switching to chrome and coming back to msfs. Nothing worked. Fully frozen. No mouse, no joysticks. Nothing. Happened with FENIX and FBW. First I killed MSFS. Then I was switching back and forth between msfs and chrome and after some (up to 5 mins) msfs came back to life. Again, literally NEVER had that before. Realized there were some xbox/game apps in he ms store waiting for updates but that also didn’t cure the problem. Will try tomorrow again. And no, I did not make any hardware changes, all the very same old stuff as listed in my signature Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"
October 6, 20232 yr two more things / observations: my issue is NOT related to PMDG. as mentioned, it happens with both Fenix and FBW. but right now also when I only launch msfs. It is stuck at the new activities screen now since almost 10 min. may have to zendesk a ticket but this is really weird as I never saw that before. was thinking about what I changed recently, again no hardware change. only the latest nvidia driver from around Sep 21 but then these pauses/frozen states should have occurred not just yesterday.... and well, yes, I changed from DX12 to 11. But could that prevent MSFS from loading into the main menu? the msfs window is just not responding at all. when I hit Alt-Tab I can cycle between Chrome and MSFS but I cannot even make MSFS the active window even when I select it via Alt-Tab, sorry difficult to describe. Plus, taskmanager show that MSFS is still alive, CPU load is low but changes between 2 and 5%. and well, just checked back and now I see the MSFS main menu. just strange.. will set back to DX12 and see whether that helps Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"

Apart from that I guess one would simply know when he has crashed a 737, so one wouldn't need a screen to tell him that. Im pretty sure I did have that turned off .. who knows. Hasnt happened again since!
