Has anyone gotten ISG Smith's FMS to work with Prepar3d v5?

Recommended Posts

Really loving v5 since I got it installed and got most of the bugs worked out.  One thing I was used to when I was using FSX/FSX-SE was the ISG (Integrated Simavionics) Smith's FMS but apparently I can't get it to work in Prepar3d.  Has anyone gotten it to work in v5?

Here is how to make it work with v4 and also works for V5, The only issue is the landing and taxi light will illuminate cockpit at night, my solution? fly it in daylight.

We're you able to install it directly into P3d or did you just copy the files?  I did the install and it didn't copy any of the files over to the Gauges folder.

How did you get Smiths FMC to work?  I was never able to get it working as of today.

The process is likely different for various aircraft, but if you know what you're doing to configure the ISG gauges, the following may be helpful.

I've spent significant time getting the JustFlight DC-10 working in the x64 versions of P3D and have published a lengthy guide for others.  A section of this guide includes converting the DC-10 to an pseudo MD-10 using the ISG gauges, including the Smiths FMS.  The following links may be helpful to get things set up in P3D v5:

Post in the DC-10 thread with some helpful advice actually installing the ISG gauges into P3D v5:

And another link to the DC-10 upgrade guide.  The ISG info starts on page 38 (linked from the table of contents):
