October 9, 20232 yr First off, Thank You to all the devs for your tireless work and efforts. It is my hope in the future when you release your labor of love, that you can be met with kudos, instead of the seemingly standard of picking fly poo out of the pepper. Or the ever present "I wish" statements. I couldn't possibly do what you folks do. I've tried, many times...nope not happening. The work you put out is extraordinary at times. Getting to my friendly request. Could we move away from the "Go Pro" look of the props please. Nicholas from BlackSquare has nailed it on the TBM 850 for realism. Very seldom in flight will you see the blade blur, it's pretty much always a disc. At times, you can't even see the prop disc at all. Thank You for your hard work, and consideration. Best, David
October 9, 20232 yr Yes. This is one of my pet hates, and it is what you get when you follow the MS / Asobo SDK to the letter apparently, but some developers have improved this, like you mention for the TBM850. Carenado also seem to do it well, and even the freeware Bronco on FS.to, with probably some of the best prop effects I have ever seen, including the metallic spinners that don't wobble all over the place like some do. I notice the new Piper M500 seems to have the prop strobe though. I find it detracts from the rest of that great model. The JustFlight Arrows also suffer from it. To help improve this, there are modification files on FS.to for quite a few prop aircraft - I install every one I can get my hands on! Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's. Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.
October 9, 20232 yr Interesting, the sdk mentions to design the texture so that it does not dazzle the pilot. https://docs.flightsimulator.com/html/mergedProjects/How_To_Make_An_Aircraft/Contents/Modelling/Airframe/Texturing/Propellers_And_Turbines.htm

I don't think it dazzles actually (if meaning a light reflection), it just strobes / pulses. And I am not blaming the developers if that is what they have to stick to, it is just that some developers have a much more pleasing effect. This has been covered on and off since the sim was launched, and obviously, people wouldn't be making the prop texture improvement mods if it wasn't something that has been asked for.
