What are keyboard view bindings associated with?  The sim, the aircraft, the location, the situation or the USB ports? I have noticed that the views associated with the num pad  sometimes seem to dissappear for no apparent reason.

There is an entire menu dedicated to keyboard bindings in X-Plane's settings dialog.

And numpad views require the "Num lock" key of the keyboard to be on.

They are bound to the aircraft, in the _prefs.txt file.

Numlock needs to be on

n.b. "bind view" is it's own key binding (e.g. ctrl + num 1) not "ctrl + whatever key you bound to go to view 1" (actually took me a while to work that one out)

Everything seems to be in order but every so often the keys don't respond and I have to reassign them.  If it happens again I will check the text file as advised to see how that appears.  Thank you.

If you have it set up in a profile and you change aircraft, it wont follow unless the new aircraft uses the same profile. should set that all up inm default profile so when you create a new one from it those will follow.
