XLoad at Captain Sim

Recommended Posts

Guest MikeMiraglia

Greetings all,I was just checking out XLoad over at Captain Sim and got a little confused about something. Are they using the F/A-18 virtual cockpit for the F-117? I have no intent on buying this, or anything else from CS, but I was just curious because that seemed a bit odd. Perhaps I read it wrong.-Mike

XLoadofcrapBasically all you're getting are external models. They look nice though.

"Captain who?"I think they used to make blocks for a 757 or something. Sorry, I shouldn't start a flame war, but I have very little respect left for that company. I just wanted to check out the F-117, and when I saw the VC page my head started spinning. I must have read that wrong....5 times.

It says there..."If MS FSX Acceleration Expansion Pack is installed, all features of the Acceleration F/A-18 interior model and systems (VC) are available for the XLoad F-117A exterior model with no manual editing required.Features of the XLoad F-117A exterior model are synchronized to work with the Acceleration F/A-18 VC."

"...all features of the Acceleration F/A-18 interior model and systems (VC) are available for the XLoad F-117A exterior model with no manual editing required."Gee, how generous of them. Pay for two aircraft and get the same VC in both without any extra work required... except payment.Actually, I'm a big fan of Captain Sim, perhaps the only one left, but I find this a bit cheesy. Also, that they charge for the ACE skin/configuration program for some planes that used to come free is ridiculous.Mind you, truth be told, if they make an FSX F-104, I'll send them my whole credit card in the mail, not just the number online.
