Mouse doesn’t work in FSLabs A320 only

Featured Replies

I installed a fresh new copy of P3D v5 today followed by a new install of the FSLabs A320.  The mouse does not work to control ANY instruments inside the cockpit, tested in particular with simple toggle switches.  I am trying to do this from the default views.  I have not made any adjustments to eyepoint or seat position.  There are no add-ons installed.  Everything is about as simple and clean as it gets, “right out of the box”.  And no, I don’t have the simulator paused.  My mouse is nothing special, just a basic Logitech with a scroll-wheel.

I know P3D is functional because I can hop into one of the default aircraft and everything works just as it should.  This is clearly an FS Labs problem.  It’s almost as if the aircraft is “dead”.  The batteries don’t display any voltage which is probably a separable issue, but maybe not.  The one thing I can do is use hold the spacebar and use the mouse to pan around.

I know P3D is generally considered to be older, stable software, as is FS Labs.  Thus I’m rather surprised to say the least for this aircraft to be DOA in such a basic way.

Any input or ideas would be very much appreciated.  I just thought I would throw this out there since it’s a weekend and I can’t contact the FS Labs until next week.

Your problem is that the position of your view is "inside" the seat, move the pilot's seat back in the cockpit and you will solve the issue.

Well if default pilot views are “inside” the seat from the moment the product is installed that would be some pretty weird software, but I’ll research how to move it.  Seems like if that is the case though, every single new user would experience the same problem.  I imagine in the developer’s quest to implement every possible fault condition, they included the possibility that the pilot tripped entering the cabin and immediately planted his face so hard into the seat he can’t get it back out.

I have purchased A320 a few days ago and have no issues with operating inside the cockpit.

I think it is not a FSL problem as not read a single post about similar problem, i think issue is on ur side, just need more investigation.

It might be related to whether Wide View Aspect is enabled or not.  I have it enabled and do have to slide the seat back when starting a session, although I also have changed the eyepoint and zoom in the default camera view (OpusFSI).  I have a key mapped to the seat adjustment on my Streamdeck.

The problem went away as soon as I installed FSLSpotlights.  It should be unrelated, but…

How did you move the seat without using the mouse? I have the same dead airplane and its not responding to any mouse movements. Also I cant get it out of cold and dark.

Others have reported the same problem on FSLabs site.  It isn’t just me.

The problem has not returned for me for a while now, and I have no idea why.

In FSUIPC I assigned a key to the rotor brake control, with 76014 as the command parameter.  Pressing that key then moves the seat back.
