November 12, 20232 yr Author Thanks a lot everyone for your testimonies. And very interesting youtube video quoted there. I will definitely go the AMD route, for performance reasons and future upgrade possibilities. I still have to make a final decision for the exact CPU choice (7950X3D or 7800X3D) but that might also depends on potential BF discounts. For these 2 CPUs, should I aim for DDR5 at 6000 CAS15? Is there any reasons to aim for faster?
January 6, 20242 yr Yeah, that is a good question. I think when I build a new rig (mine is 2017-18) and I use MSFS, XP11,12, DCS and a TON of different games/simulators along with Fusion 360, SketchUp, Lightroom and other 3d software. So I may just stick with Intel for that reason. 7800+4090+64ram Just Flight RJ, 146 and F28, Piper Arrows ---A2A Aerostar and Comanche---Black Square Starship, Duke(s), TBM, Bonanza/BaronV2, KingAir---FSReborn FSR500---COWS Da42---FX P180, HJet & VJet---FlySimWare Chancellor and LearJet---FlightSimStudio EMB175 &P2006T---Fenix 320---PMDG DC6, 737(700+900), 777---C22J---Milviz Cessna 310 & Porter---SimWorksStudios Kodiak, PC12, Zenith & RV14---BigRadials Goose---IndiaFoxEcho MB3339+F35.
