Into Tromsoe

The child in me wanted a different toy, so I reached into my good old box and dug out this:

The FSX Vickers Viscount 800 from Just Flight. I don't think we'll ever see her in MSFS

It's shortly after 8:00 a.m. and we want to fly from my home base in Münster to Tromsoe. We should be able to do this in just over 4 hours with our old bird. We fly with real weather. It used to be said about Münster: either it rains or the church bells ring. Today it is raining. My bells will soon be the wonderfully whirring Rolls-Royce Dart engines

Great plane you thought of, bernd...Wasn't it the World's first Turboprop Airliner...yes, with RR (Dart) whirring, as you said...🙂...

I'd the JF Viscount and Orbx Tromsø...in my SIM, once upon a time...🙂...

Lovely series of images...!!

Great shots and scenery Bernd! 😉

Interesting journey and choice of plane. Always happy to see Tromso in the sim.

AAArgh, I forgot to contact you when I stopped over in raining Münster two days ago! But my travel companion told me exactly the same wisdom about the weather.

Nice tour & flight, Bernd. I wonder how you port old planes and if the necessary gauges / effects work?

Cheers, Gerold

Thanks Gerold, next time, you pass through our lovely town, let's meet by all means. First round of beers is on me (maybe the second and third one too 🙂). With the conversions it's nowadays a hit and miss. You'll find on YT plenty of videos how to convert from FSX/P3D to MSFS and what tools to use. I found that planes I loved to fly also in MSFS like the converted Tu-114, suddenly all gauges stopped working and the entire panle is just an annoying big grey block. Although there are still quite a few birds that work, don't expect them to fly as the real MSFS planes do. And nowadays we have so many planes to choose from in MSFS, that I rarely go back to my old conversions.
