Asobo King Air flying left wing low at cruise

Recommended Posts

I installed this MOD which I posted about before here on these forums:

King Air 350 G1000 Cockpit Mod for Microsoft Flight Simulator | MSFS

Now I'm finding at cruise the King Air flying with the left wing lower as if it's turning or fighting a crosswind.  It's always the same no matter the weather conditions.  Do to the terrible state of the default avionics i this bird I haven't tried it without the above mod. Just thought about this while I'm away from my home PC on business so I thought I'd ask here has anyone seen this behavior and is there something that can be done about it?  Thanks in advance.🍺

So it flies normal without the mod?🥴 I'll check this out when I get home.

That's interesting an Avionics mod can affect a flight model (if that's the case).  In all actuality Asobo should have addressed the KingAir with their last AAU2 update.  A message to the mod creator might be in order.

No idea but the post with the link should explain it, I just happened to notice it as I've rarely if ever flown this plane before.

Hello,

I tested this G100 cockpit MOD in the King Air 350 using also the McGouge MOD and did not notice anything obviously wrong.

I must admit the flight wasnt long (12 mins) aand not too high.

I intercepted an ILS and it behaved OK

"also using the McGouge MOD???"🥴

I found flying it with autopilot 'on' at 12,000ft using the G1000 mod alone, the problem presents itself.

Look at the attitude indicator and apply rudder trim to center the "ball"

Set winds to zero and made sure tanks were balanced.  Still have the issue.  I'm glade I have the BlackSquare version but wanted the Glass option if it worked out.  WT/Asobo should have addressed the Kingair in AAU2.😕

Too bad, I quite like the G1000 version.. also own the analog gauge version, but actually like the modern cockpit to go with the modern plane..

So you have the WT G1000 mod installed I mentioned above and are not seeing the issue?

This is a common problem even in real King Airs. It is easily corrected with a little rudder trim.

Interesting, I missed this post thanks for sharing.👍

The Blacksquare version doesn't have this issue but I'm reading this write-up with great interest. The Blacksquare model might need the update versus the Asobo bird (go figure that one). Maybe it has the KFC-400 (Kentucky Fried Chicken) autopilot listed in the article.🍺
