November 28, 20232 yr I have an odd problem that showed up in the last month or so. I think it has to do with my Gysnc monitor and RTX 4080 with frame gen, but I can't be certain. It seems to happen if I have background apps open that I alt +tab to - like photoshop when im doing paints or screenshots. The sim runs great, but sometimes I see a huge pause... like 10 sec, followed by this rubber-banding effect in MSFS.... anytime I move. Any object that move sort of flickers. And if I pan the view, interior or exterior, it does this. I finally was able to capture a short video with my mobile... usually it won't even show on the video which makes me think its fps related. The only fix is a reboot of the sim. Here's a short video...this is me trying to pan around the cockpit https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/8bcz8ng962yqlw29etrzb/20231128_161724.mp4?rlkey=cy00q793dj5f98trbbq0ntodq&dl=0 | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
November 29, 20232 yr Did you change GPU drivers recently? Have you ruled out that it could be a GPU driver issue?
November 29, 20232 yr I found that the newer Nvidia drivers (any of them from the past 2-3 months) to be quite stuttery in MSFS compared to older ones. I actually went back to the 535.98's today which I know are one of my favorite builds for my 3080ti and it was much better, but every system is different. i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024
December 9, 20232 yr Author I think it's also related to higher MSFS settings. I've pulled some stuff back like TLOD which I was running at 400, to 200. But it could have been the SU14 beta... not sure. I haven't seen it in a week or so. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
