"useless" jetways for ai - would GSX help?

Recommended Posts

Whenever I land at any airport, none of the ai aircraft (FSLTL/AIG) is connected with a jetway. The only way to connect them is to reset FSLTL after landing. I'm not using GSX until now but would do if GSX connects them automatically.

As Umberto say, no, GSX Pro won't help at all. This must be an FSLTL or AIG issue.

I use straight AIG. No FSLTL. All AI aircraft get a jetway connected when they arrive.

That's not what I meant. It is true, when I start my flight at an airport, most a/c are connected and also arriving a/c become connected. But when I have just landed my a/c at the airport and taxi to the gates, I cannot see any a/c connected to the gates. This is with straight AIG too.

Only AI aircraft that are created by the default MSFS ATC will mate with jetways. Any app that creates non-ATC AI aircraft will not. If it's any consolation, the VOXATC beta for MSFS can use AIG and have the jetways work correctly with AI aircraft. I think that one can still apply for the closed beta at the VOXATC Discord site. The best option, though is to wait for the official release of VOXATC for MSFS.

sounds more like a Sim issue, are you using default jetways?

I believe that too. I'm only using payware airports not sure what jetways they use. No GSX here. To repeat, the strange thing is, when loading into the airport everything is fine. But landing at the (same) airport no jetways are connected to ai a/c. Though, after traffic reset they get connected automatically. But that's not what I want to do every time. I'm just wondering why I cannot see any reports about this bug. Is it only on my install, then it could be possibly solved.

I did misunderstand what you wrote. I've done a couple of flights since and paid better attention to what was going on.

When I first arrive at an airport the gates will have plenty of AI traffic sitting at them, but none of them have a jetway connected. As new aircraft arrive and pull up to the gate, jetways will connect to them.

I'm suspecting that this is a sim "feature" to prevent massive stutters as we arrive at an airport. At some point shortly before or after landing the sim has to load up all of that AI traffic. If the sim connected all of those jetways at the same time the airplanes spawn, it would surely introduce stutters.
