December 16, 20232 yr Heading out of stock KATL, overfly and peek at Atlanta with the SamScene cities in place. Don't seem to be heavily loaded, passenger wise (I do like to see a modelled cabin, but I'd really like to see at least some of the seats occupied) turning round out of KATL to the right and heading towards the city Pop out the drone and down for a quick tour No idea of the accuracy of the city scenery. I have been there but don't remember much about the place and anyway, that was probably 30 years ago now. Looks good in the sim though. a view of one of the engines and now from the inside! and a more comfortable inside view The quality of this scenery now, and the general visuals in MSFS, combined with an HDR 55" monitor at 4k really does make it feel like I am magically visiting these places. Who needs reality? Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

December 17, 20232 yr Nice tour of the city, Andy... I only recall a visit to World of Coca-Cola Museum...🙂... ages ago, so, your pictures are helpful here... Regarding the A330, it has transported me (safely) across the Atlantic so many times...so, I'm grateful to it in spirit...🙂... Thanks for sharing...!

Just to elaborate on my reality comment - wouldn't argue with you about that. If I could teleport myself for real around the world I can think of thousands of places I'd visit in a heartbeat. But there's absolutely no way I'm setting foot in an airport or on a plane ever again. Been there, done that, enjoyed it at the time but that was then etc. For me now, the effort involved with getting anywhere is not justified by the results - not because of any physical incapacity or anything, I just can't be *rsed! Life is good, life is quiet, and life doesn't involve rushing around anywhere. The current sims (MSFS and XP) both allow me to explore the world though, at a level that is (or can be) realistic enough to give me the level of satisfaction I'm looking for. Not sure what you meant about the A330 - if it's a reference to how if flies then as you know, I'm probably not the person to comment on that <grin> Anyway, happy simming, and happy real world travelling if that's your thing too! 3 hours ago, AUA425 said: the scenery and screenshots look good, no question Thanks AUA, and don't worry - I don't feel bad about anything sim-related! 20 minutes ago, P_7878 said: Nice tour of the city, Andy... Ahh, God bless America! <grin> Didn't have any idea such a place existed, but I kinda like the idea. Not something I drink though - I prefer to destroy my liver rather than my teeth! I'm not sure, but I think the bigger Airbuses must have come along since I stopped my travelling days. All the biggies I ever travelled on were all the likes of 747/767/777s, from what I remember. I used to enjoy all the zooming around back then, even if it was always a bit uncomfortable and boring (the actual flying). Nothing like leaving Gatwick or Heathrow on a grey, wet miserable day and stepping off the plane a couple of hundred paperback pages later into a wall of heat and sunshine at Phoenix or similar (and knowing that you're back in a place where you can actually get a decent burger) Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case.
