Considering new PC for P3D

Just make sure you give it good cooling.. P3D is the HOTEST sim I have ever used 🙂


Main Simulation Rig:

Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti, 1 TB & 500 GB M.2 nvme drives, Win11.

Glider pilot since 1980...

Avid simmer since 1992...

You schould consider also, to implement the fastest SSD as possible. Look at PCI 4 or better PCI5 capability and take a look on a Firecuda SDD f. ex. because of the high data reading rate. As faster the data can be load from scenery etc. into the RAM, especially while advancing in the flight, as less possible longframes or stutters will be caused.

Make sure you're balancing probable future needs vs the past/now - or you'll end up doubling up in costs long-term

Don’t do it. Unless you are planning to install your sim on a motorcycle or in a suitcase, go with a proper desktop. The compromises needed in mobo design for the small form factor will impact your performance potential considerably.
