December 21, 20232 yr Just make sure you give it good cooling.. P3D is the HOTEST sim I have ever used 🙂 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
December 21, 20232 yr You schould consider also, to implement the fastest SSD as possible. Look at PCI 4 or better PCI5 capability and take a look on a Firecuda SDD f. ex. because of the high data reading rate. As faster the data can be load from scenery etc. into the RAM, especially while advancing in the flight, as less possible longframes or stutters will be caused. Bernd P3D V6 - PC spec: Intel i9-9900 overclocked 5 GHz HT off, 32 GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX3090 24GB, 2xM2 SSD, Skalarki HomeCockpit and Jeehell FMGS on a dedicated Server, PF3 for ATC, MCE, GSX, EFB, AS+ASCA+ENV and OrbX
December 21, 20232 yr Make sure you're balancing probable future needs vs the past/now - or you'll end up doubling up in costs long-term Edited December 21, 20232 yr by flightskyc
December 21, 20232 yr Don’t do it. Unless you are planning to install your sim on a motorcycle or in a suitcase, go with a proper desktop. The compromises needed in mobo design for the small form factor will impact your performance potential considerably.
