  1. Works absolutely fine. Latest driver is very smooth for me too.
  2. Dam those workers, we expect them to just about afford to feed themselves and be chained to the production line for 16 hours a day! How I miss the old days! Jokes aside, as a non-US person - looking in, the salaries do seem a bit insane. Certainly in my field (Tech) - US based salaries are ludicrous (like someone my level and job type is $600K a year total comp). In my country, it’s approx $250K total comp (my peers at the same company, at the same level & team in the US are paid significantly more than me). However, the cost of living is way, way higher than it was. Times aren’t the same as they were 3 decades ago. Competition for great talent is higher, certainly in Tech anyway. Companies do need to provide workers with decent packages and benefits. It’s a 2 way street. I know that you US folks have to pay through the nose for basic human needs like healthcare (ouch) - so I guess continual rises in those/similar areas pull salary growth with it.
  3. Real cool photos! But, almighty wept! The author couldn't have picked a more annoying soundtrack!
  4. They mentioned in their discord that they’re investigating FPS issues post SU15 re aircraft. I have found airports like KJFK, EGLL & KDTW quite heavy. Usually a case of adjusting settings slightly, and not expecting to get buttery smooth experience with every setting in MSFs maxed out.
  5. Looks like a good all-round improvement, and hopefully will bring some higher standards to Paid XP aircraft in general (aka the all round package). The wings/flaps textures look low quality compared with the rest of the aircraft, but overall - looks neat. I think calling this raising the bar / best aircraft in the Flightsim community is a biiiiig stretch here, based on the initial video. Looks no where near the complexity of Hotstart Chally or Fenix A320 - at all. But definitely new standards for XP & hopefully will force other XP developers to quit with the narrative of “Oh we don’t care about X because we’re all about Y”. All rounder’ness is much better to hold developers to account on! Once it’s out of beta and there’s more in-depth videos, may be a purchase - we’ll see.
  6. LOL ridiculous pricing. 29$ a month????? Crazy,
  7. Sorry - but this doesn’t make sense. Why buy a complex add-on aircraft and then use a keyboard to control it? While maybe there is some kind of bug present here, like someone also suggested, there’s probably a tiny % of people using a keyboard for this aircraft. The bug or issue will likely be at the bottom of any priority list for the Fenix devs.

  9. Regarding 1) I too haven't found an option to do that. If you're using Windows open up the volume mixer and just drag the X-Plane application sound down to 0 or a low number. There may be a better solution, but this is what I do.
  10. So, this is my personal opinion, but..... If I had the option of going back in time and not paying near $120 for that A320 & A330 , I wouldn't. So many quirks, bugs - I've just uninstalled it. But again, that's my personal opinion. I would rather support devs that are constantly improving their products vs churning out product after product that are unfinished. - I would honestly buy IXEG 737. The devs are super, super responsive with investigating bugs and fixing them and if you were spending 60-70$, that would be the aircraft I would buy . It isn't complete yet, but the immersion is outstanding and you know that these devs are going to continue iterating and building until it's perfect. - I use either IVAO or FSGRW for weather, I believe NOAA (free, is a good plugin too). - Any scenery by MisterX (outstanding freeware). His latest is KBOS, which is a work of art. (you can find much more on x-plane.org forums/downloads area, sort by most downloaded, reviewed etc etc to see some of the top ones). There are countless others (ApilotX Mesh, http://www.spainuhd.es/p/descarga.html (Spain UHD photoscenery) + I love Tenerife GCXO, - G2XPL (donationware for unlocked version) (create your own photoscenery). I love this tool, it gives fantastic results like this: - I've never used ATC in any simulator other than IVAO/PilotEdge so I can't really comment on that.
  11. I've been waiting many years for this, however I haven't used FSX in probably 2 years. I'll wait to see if they make it available for P3D.
  12. I wouldn't use Mega, based on the founder's recent Tweet: "Mega had to survive without a credit card payment processor for almost 2 years now. The air is getting thin. Backup your Mega files asap." https://twitter.com/KimDotcom/status/722942842193055745
