Keyboard and mouse lags

Recommended Posts

I have a wireless keyboard and a wired mouse, since the MSFS20 release I'm having some input lags, it's an unsolved problem. The joystick is working normally, no lags. Is there any lucky guy there that can help with this annoying problem?

Give your axis controllers a bit of a dead zone or increase them if you already have a value, it's an issue with the Sim and has been since the beginning.

I had a similar problem with my Logitech mouse and keyboard which I run with one unifying USB receiver. Solution: From a thread about the same issue I got the hint that the USB 3.0 connector might be the problem. Consequently, I plugged the USB connector into a USB 2.0 port with the result that the keyboard and mouse lag has disappeared.

Thank you for your replies guys, I tried to increase the controller dead zone, but no joy. I have my input connectors already into USB 2. I have the same problem before and after a motherboard upgrade.

ironically I had some mouse and keyboard issues as of late.  Both use logitech dongles as well.  The mouse issue resolved itself and somehow seemed to come and go during windows updates and or Nvidia driver update.  But still having the keyboard issue and almost wonder if I want to look at another one soon.

Thank you for you replies, the problem is partially solved veryfying the joystick dead zone settings, changing the Keyboard the USB port. Finally I changed the batteries, this is very important because I'm forgetting that my wireless hasn't any light to remember me the batteries status.

Update on the keyboard lag problem: solved the problem stopping to use the wireless keyboard and mouse, now I'm using a wired mouse and a mechanical keyboard and all it works as it should: no more lags and perfect response. Generally the mechanical wired keyboards are more expensive, I bought a Logitech G413 SE, it's white backlighted, useful for night flights. It's a right compromise because FS20 does not require extremely specialized gamer keyboards.

Although the sim appears to be smoother, my problem was mainly a keyboard input lag, resolved using a wired mechanical keyboard. In my experience it seems that FS20 doen't love the wired keyboard and mouse.

in my device manager the wired USB keyboard and mouse has a default greyed unselected "allow the computer turn off..." option.
