March 9, 20242 yr Yesterday, after procuring some (wild caught) Alaskan Salmon from the local grocery store, I learned how to season it and "air fry" it (of course, someone taught me...since I consider myself superior at consuming than cooking...🙂...) ...Anyway, judged by the taste, I think, I cooked it to perfection, all in less than 10 mins time...though, I forgot to follow the instruction of pre-heating the Air Fryer for the customary 3 minutes...Oh well...next time... And, coincidentally, today, while looking through all my 787-10 repaints purchased a long while ago from the Marketplace, I found one (curious) Alaska Airlines "Xáat Kwáani" (meaning "Salmon People") livery lurking in my inventory. This is a special livery that Alaska Airlines introduced a year ago first on one of its 787-800 (w/ Reg. Code N559AS, same Reg. as on my fictitious Alaska Airlines 787-10 in the images below). Throughout history, Salmon and Alaska (and Alaskan people) have been intertwined in a special (and symbiotic) relationship. Some of us will recall the well-known "Salmon Thirty Salmon" 737 livery of Alaska Airlines. This new Salmon livery is another (but culturally more meaningful) extension of the (Alaskan) Salmon themed liveries created as a mark of recognition for the relationship stated above. Alaska Natives refer to themselves as "Salmon People". Therefore, this design was created to give the plane, which carries it, a special name "Xáat Kwáani"...look for these labels on the chin of my 787-10 images below. This is also the first time Alaska Airlines has featured a language besides English on the fuselage of its aircraft. Please find this collection of 20 images of the Alaska Airlines 787-10 in the (artistic) "Xáat Kwáani" (aka: Salmon People) colors flying, here, between Anchorage (PANC) and Seattle (KSEA). Please note this is a fictitious livery on the 787, because Alaska Airlines is an operator of exclusive 737 variants only (it does not have any 787 in its fleet). The destination Seattle, as my choice, is especially significant for this livery because, for the Alaskan Salmon, Seattle is (typically) the first stop within the contiguous (48) U.S. states (i.e., excluding Alaska and Hawaii). Therefore, likely, after been first shipped to Seattle, in the "Xáat Kwáani" Alaska Airlines plane, the (wild caught) Alaskan Salmon, that I locally got (and cooked myself) yesterday, made it to here...🙂... Hope you enjoy these images from my trip today...of this unique Alaska livery...flying across the (scenic) mountain ranges of Alaska and Yukon territory...! Thanks for viewing...!

Thanks, John....🙂... Yes, you may say that with the aid of virtual aviation, I'm expanding my culinary horizon, from being a mere consumer towards a gourmet chef...🙂...  5 hours ago, pmplayer said: Great set and a superb livery by the way.. cheers 😉 Appreciated the comment, pmplayer. Agree, this is quite a unique and interesting Alaska livery...the artwork being created by a native artist... (somewhat similar to the indigenous art liveries of Qantas aircraft, of which I recall you'd posted here a couple of examples in the past....) ... Â

Looks good. [Yes, you're right...this 787-10 is part of the Premium Version...It's not on par with the 787 you must have had previously from QW, but still pretty nice with good looks, and I like it a lot...especially because I am fond of all 787s, as you can tell from the username of my alter ego...🙂...Cheers...!]
