Courchevel PC-12

Featured Replies

Hi all,

we spoke about various PC-12 models in the sims and now I wanted to check again if my Carenado is ok or not. So I did a little round at Courchevel only to land at that STOL-airport.

And the plane can do it, it's easy. Just as it is in real life where they go to Courchevel in a PC-12.

It can do 65 ias speed with full flaps, nose slightly up and a bit of throttle and it's easy to land it in this configuration.

Landed a bit to the left side on the runway because I started too late to align it to the runway but that's not so critical if it's not too much. Must not be too fast there of course.

I've seen videos from real life where they crashed into the embankment at the end of the runway.

Beautiful pictures, Andreas, of this scenic place along with a most exciting and challenging Airport and that sloped Runway, to test our piloting skills with ...🙂...

Your Swiss army knife of the sky seems fully up to the challenge here...looks like ...

Thank's a lot Pm_7878, and yes, the plane can do it as long as I can do it....🙂 I think these models of the PC-12 are basically all useable and quality addons.

I happened to have just recently taken 2 commuter flights in a PC-12 (with full glass cockpit 🙂 ).

Can confirm they practically LEAP off the runway in just a few seconds (even fully loaded), and then are able to grease it in on landing with plenty of room to spare 🙂 .

(obviously Courchevel is a whole other level of STOL, but still 😉 )

Don't really understand what you say, my plane didn't leap off the runway at all. But I had a little distance left at the end of the runway, so was ok.
