Strange sharpness

Recommended Posts

Using the TAA antialiasing mode, along with a Supersampling level of 6x6 will reduce it, but I find there's always some shimmering in MSFS.

Your resolution affects this too. 1080p resolution will always have some shimering. 1440 will reduce it and flying in 4k will virtually eliminate it (but then comes with a performance cost).   These are all in my experience.

Yes, I always have shimmering with TAA, but not with DLSS+DLAA. Even in 1080p. That's why I don't use TAA anymore.

Hi, how to renove rhis strange sharpness from msfs? The objects edges are like 'dancing'.

As @David Mills pointed out in another thread, dont over sharpen.  I used 120 sharpening in MSFS settings, but I reduced that to 70 and still get acceptable results.  As suggested above, DLSS with DLAA gives very good results also.

I absolutely love the ground and landscape AA with DLSS+DLAA, it's near perfect.  But.... I don't use it because of the reduction in clarity and quality it causes on gauges and screens.  When Asobo nail this 'screen masking' for DLSS I think we'll be onto a winner.
