December 5, 200718 yr Author So far no troubles and no buildings-but thanks for the warning-I'll keep an eye out.http://www.mediafire.com/imgbnc.php/1b5baf...b9f427f694g.jpgMy blog:http://geofageofa.spaces.live.com/ Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
December 5, 200718 yr Author I would suspect the 256 megs on the video card, and possibly ultimate traffic which I used to have but have mytraffic now.Wish I could be more help-if you can borrow a video card with more maybe you can rule it in/out.http://www.mediafire.com/imgbnc.php/1b5baf...b9f427f694g.jpgMy blog:http://geofageofa.spaces.live.com/ Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
December 5, 200718 yr I've been looking at a setup similar to yours http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16883227042, but won't be able to get it for a couple months or so. Anyone think it's good? Edit: The link just points to the overall page so its the iBuyPower Gamer 535XE which is 5 from the topAnyways, beautiful pics! I like the water in the last lake shot, very realistic. Also I like your hardware setup, looks very nice. Just one question, is the saitek yoke/throttle good? Because I've been looking at that too, but I've read a couple bad reviews about phantom button pushing. Any problems with it so far?
December 5, 200718 yr Author I think the first batches of the yoke had problems but the later ones are fine. In any case, mine has worked fine and I really like it. No phantom button pushings or any of that. Very solid-and the throttle is superior.http://www.mediafire.com/imgbnc.php/1b5baf...b9f427f694g.jpgMy blog:http://geofageofa.spaces.live.com/ Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
December 5, 200718 yr Wow, congrats on the new system and welcome to the core2duo club! Looks like you're really enjoying it. Question on the Saitek as well, how does it compare to the CH products yoke, I think you said it feels heavier?
December 5, 200718 yr Author It is heavier, has a steel shank, a nice clock/counter that picks up the computer time, and is about the size feel of a Baron yoke. The throttle is very substantial and good quality-though I don't use it. The ch really feels cheap next to it, and really has very little "feel" to it in compare. I've used my ch since they came out but feel very good about replacing it with this one.I also was able to mount it below my computer desk by using the 6 screws on the top. The programming software is very easy to use.The only negative for me is a lack of a gear/flap switch on the yoke itself-the reason I got the goflight lgt which ended up being a blessing in disguise....http://www.mediafire.com/imgbnc.php/1b5baf...b9f427f694g.jpgMy blog:http://geofageofa.spaces.live.com/ Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
