JF 146 Professional button for SYNC

Featured Replies

According to the manual it should be possible to assign the SYNC button with toggle afterburner. But if I assign one of my buttons to that nothing happens. If I click the SYNC button it works. What is the problem here ?

I'm not sure what's going wrong for you, but I know it works as I've had my sync (I assume we're talking the autopilot function here) assigned to a button on my flight stick for a long time that works well.

Mine works with toggle afterburner.

I am thinking on the SYNC button on the TMS. It does not lit up with my assigned button but do so if I click it.

OH...that's your problem. In the manual where it's saying "sync" is assigned to the "toggle afterburner" button, what they mean is the autopilot sync button, NOT the sync button on the TMS (it's confusing since they're called the same thing). The sync button on the autopilot allows you to disengage the autopilot temporarily without turning it off completely. That way you can reset your IAS or VS manually, then hit sync again to re-engage at your new attitude/speed. It's actually extremely handy.

I think for the TMS sync you just have to click it with your mouse---not sure any of those buttons can be assigned elsewhere or not.

You will prolly need Spad or Axis & Ohs to make this work... there is an Lvar for all those functions.

Works best on a Streamdeck or button box.

I found a variable MCP_Mode_VS and tried to use it but never got it to work. At any rate in MSFS own control options I got it working.

Another issue. It seem impossible to disable the FMS. Clicking FMS option does not help. But clicking other options does work including which FMS version to use. But for now I would like to fly without any FMS unit.

EDIT mistake this should be in my other 146 Thread
