Hello Co Simmers,

I downloaded the very nice LSZB Bern Belp scenery from Wolfgang Allers from avsim library and installed with updates as told in the readme. I use FSX SE, WIN 10 on a machine with i57600, Geforce GTX1050 ti.

All went fine, but the scenery shows several great and sharply contoured all black areas on the apron; to see when approaching or in shift F12 aerial view or when parking on èm. New download and installation did not help.The textures listed in the avsim zip view seem completely in my Installation. Some black textures begin with a $ sign, example    $panel1.dds  ???

I contacted the author, he identified it as a texture problem, that never occured until now. Was very kind, but couldn´t help, having no FSX Maschine to check. W. A. was not sure, if FSX SE may cause the anomaly. I don´t think so, never had a texture anomaly with other sceneries ( only with an effect problem on Kefallinia Island by McKeough), see my other post).

Someone here with this scenery? Similar problems? Someone here here with a solution?

I had this problem with the 2010 - Houston Scenary mod on siviation for FS2004, and most of the scenary worked except for the "inner loop" (if you're from Houston, you'd know what I mean = Downtown), the downtown tile for the ground similar in your case was completely black. The file causing the trouble was dtowntex.BGL from the scenary file, inside of the "Houston_2010" file. 

Once I deleted it, it reloaded the default ground tile, BUT keeps all the objects, in your case I assume buildings and planes. The objects in my case was all i really cared about, buildings, etc. So hopefully I sent you down the right path. I'd look in the scenary file in your "LSZB Bern Belp" folder and figure out through trial and error which specific file it is. Just make a backup on your desktop and delete them 1 by 1 and you'll figure out excatly which .BGL file it is. 

Also, to be clear I was putting the FS2004 mod into FSX, couldve caused issues in not recognizing that texture.

but as the developer I don´t think it is a .bgl issue. It seems to be a texture problem.

Until today no succes with several new downloads and installations.

Is it possible that some files in the zip folder are corrupted?

Is someone in the forums, who runs the scenery succesfully? And has uncorruted files?

So sorry, because the scenery is superb in all other parts.

I used this scenery in fsx and now I use it in p3d. There were no artifacts or faulty textures and there are none. Now I have this scenery compiled for p3d v4.5

Hi Ulrich,

I use this scenery in FSX Accel (but not FSX-SE) and I have no problems with black areas on the apron.

Unfortunately I can't offer you a solution as you have tried new downloads and reinstalling so perhaps it is something related to FSX-SE??

The only other thing I can think of is the possibility of duplicate AFCAD files from some other version of Bern that you might have installed at some stage but the only other version available is the FlyLogic payware which I assume you do not use and I don't think there are any other freeware versions of LSZB available for FSX.

These things can be very irritating so I hope you can get it resolved.

Hey, thanks for reaching out. Yes! this was when I was first learning how to mod, definitely the texture. ///shoot superb.... necessary! Without it, Houston was a giant let down. I recently installed UTX and it revolutionized that scenery of yours. Thank you!

I made a super accurate KEFD and surrounding area with ADE, I'll share some photos and upload it to the avsim library.

Today I re-downloaded all available files of this landscape from the file library. In a separate directory I collected a ready-to-use landscape of Bern and connected it to my P3D v4.5. I did not find any anomalies. From which I dare to say that there are no defective files in the Avsim library. I am inclined to think that the error is somewhere on your side.

Yes, the avsim files seem to be uncorrupted. And I have no other Bern Belp scenery.

Other Wolfgang Allers sceneries work well with FSX-SE.

No solution until now.
