Getting Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke to work with PDMG B777

Featured Replies

Hello,

This might be more a PDMG issue then a P3D, but wanted to post it on here and try my luck in trying to resolve this problem.

I'm running P3D 5.3 and was running version 4.5 previously and had the same problem.  With the Boeing Yoke I can't get a response to the Y and X axis with the PDMG B777 aircraft.  When I try it on other aircrafts that came with P3D, like the F22, Mooney, or other classic Lockheed Martin planes the Yoke works fine.

If anyone can help out, it would be much appreciated.

Nam

I suggest you program your yoke in P3D menu. If you did not. Just a tip, if you can't do that I apologize for the advice.

Do you have more than one controller. Check that those axes are not mapped elsewhere.

Hi Ronda

Unfortunately I have tried in the P3D menu with no succes. Everything seems to during the assignment and calibration, but no movement in the in the plane itself.

I do use a joystick and do unplug it and make sure the Boeing Yoke is the current controller assigned in the Controller menu.

How do I check if the axes are not mapped somewhere else?

I had a similar issue when I first got the Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke. I know you said you checked the P3D menu, but go to "Other Controls" and make sure the "Input Method" set as

"Directinput" and not "Raw Input". Mine was set to Raw and when I switched to Direct it fixed the problem. Hope this helps.

Is there a menu in the FMC?

I haven't used the 777 in a while

AFAIK there is a axis assignment menu. That one is free to access. The rest of the advice I see here is quite valuable, so I think you will fix it. Just, after you fix it make sure your axis are assigned to the correct movements.

If you're using FSUIPC, make sure that axis calibration is turned off (showing "Axis not processed" on the calibration page for aileron/elevator axes).

There is a menu in the FMC, and I didn't see anything related to controls.

Hi Tamba,

Thanks for the tip.  Unfortunately it didn't fix the problem for me.  At this point I might have to wait for the B777 to come online for MSFS and hopefully I have better luck with the Yoke.

Hi Bob,

Please forgive my sim experience retardedness, but is this found in the FSUIPC pop-up window, or in the P3D menu drop down?
