Flaps not working after recent update

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

Since the recent update for MSFS 2020, I cannot operate the Flaps in any fixed-wing aircraft. The flaps will not lower or raise through either the keyboard or Thrustmaster side stick.

The Flap Handle/Lever jiggles but does not move any further. I have checked bindings, cleared them and re-assigned them with no change. Before the update everything worked.

Any help will be appreciated.

Regards Darren.

Sounds like you may have a conflict with a binding on another controller?

I thought that as well and have been checking for conflicts. I even tried the C152 and using the mouse, left click the flap lever goes all the way down but then immediately back up to the fully raised position. Also, the flap position indicator moves downwards slightly but then promptly returns to 0-degree mark.

Check your controls in windows to see if any button has stopped working or is on all the time

I just tested all the inputs of the Thrustmaster Sidestick through Windows and all buttons responded and Axes and moved correctly.

What was the issue?

I had this problem a while back with the keyboard and changing the keyboard made no difference (lucky I had a spare).  I eventually tracked it down to a conflict between my TrackIR settings and MSFS settings. So it may be a conflict with an external program or controller settings.

I'm having the same problem and can't seem to find a solution. I've already checked the suggestions several times.
