  1. Thanks for your advise and help.
  2. Disappointing, thankyou for your reply.
  3. G'day, I'm a newbie to this interface and I have a few questions, seeking clarification & some help please. 1) The traffic icon on my home screen is not highlighted and is inactive. Is this normal or I haven't configured something correctly? 2) The same applies for the weather icon, it also is not highlighted and is inactive. Is this normal or I haven't configured something correctly? 3) The chart icon is highlighted yet doesn't display charts etc when an airport is entered and charts selected. Should it or I haven't configured something correctly? I use Prepar3d v5.
  4. Hi All, I've recently purchased the Logitech Throttle Quadrant and I'm having difficulty in calibrating the propeller control lever with the AC 11 Commander 114 in P3D v4. As I pull the lever aft the RPM gauge needle lowers abruptly and jerky by a few hundred rpm. The rpm needle motion isn't smooth and the aircraft nose pitches up slightly. Is it an issue peculiar to this aircraft? Or can someone suggest an ideal calibration setting(s) for the lever in SPAD.next or P3D to gain smooth movement of the rpm gauge needle. The throttle and mixture levers are both fine. Regards Darren.
  5. This Morning I completey removed the NGX from my computer and then reinstalled it. I also refreshed Nav Data Pro even though it was the latest version and still the problem persists. I also have been experimenting and it appears that as soon as I select a SID is when I get the error. Would Pro ATC-X and the NGX have some incompatibility lurking somewhere? Please help me with this.
  6. Recently upgraded to Windows 10 the other day and now getting this Program Pin Error message on the FMC and other little anomalies such as unable to delete entries and copy and paste functionality also. The FMC also appears to lock up & freeze then becoming unusable both on the ground and inflight. Prior to this upgrade I have never seen this message before in the NGX. Using ASN and Pro ATCX. Any clues?
  7. That did the trick thanks; however now getting 'Program Pin Error'.
  8. Recently I took the leap of faith to upgrade to Windows 10 however I am now having difficulty with FSX-SE. I am getting an error message indicating "Flight Simulator has detected a problem with third party software program (addon)" Name: PMDGSounds Dynamic Link Library Version: 10.0.61355.62 Company: PMDG File: PMDG\DLLs\PMDGSounds.dll Do you want to run this software? I select yes and then FSX-SE crashes. What do I need to do? Regards Darren.
  9. You guys have got a good sense of humour. :LMAO: Happy Easter Regards Darren.
  10. What are the number wheels on the control colums used for? Ref speeds, weights etc???. I would really like to know. Regards Darren.
  11. Doing a flight between YSSY & YMML yesterday, I noticed at about 30 to 40 miles prior to descent the Top of Descent symbol started behaving strangely (I told it to behave but it refused). I observed the ToD symbol was flashing in and out and jumping up and down between 30 & 40 mile distance markers. Furthermore I noticed it affecting CDU Progress page, the line indicating ToD was constantly recalculating the distance and time intervals. Once I had passed the ToD point the issue dissapeared. This is the second time I have seen this.Any ideas?Note: I did try to do a screen print but it did not display the issue.Regards Darren.
  12. Yes, it will be interesting to find out the root cause analysis of this mishap when the investigation has finished. At least the sheeties will be getting overtime, replacing skins etc.
  13. Let the flood gates open boys! It's like sitting on the runway waiting for your take-off clearance to come through.
  14. Weather Radar, but with a twist. PMDG develop their own weather generator and the user can choose various weather scenarios or down load real world weather through the FMC via slecting the 'FS ACTIONS' line select key. This would be a nice touch to complete the aircraft and take FSX's weather generator out of the picture. Regards Darren.
  15. Virtual Push-back Tug. During push back of the aircraft, you can actually steer a tug through a 'Virtual Cabin' setup. Picture this 'sitting in the tug looking at the nose of the aircraft and the tow bar through the front window steering the tug and controlling distance and direction of where you want the aircraft'. Also have an external view of the tug pushing the aircraft and maybe animated ground crew during the entire connect and disconnect phases of the push-back. Just a thought! Regards Darren.
  16. Thanks guys for the prompt responses, I definately found out the hard way that you must fill out all the required fields in the PERF INIT page, then press the EXEC light once illuminated. 'It Worked'. I guess it was a case of a trap for new players, and getting used to it, but I am enjoying learning the 737. Thanks again.
  17. As a recent newbie to this aircraft I have been following the 'Tutorial #1' but cannot seem to arm VNAV mode prior to takeoff as instructed. I press the VNAV button on the MCP, but it does not illuminate green like the LNAV button does after pressing. Has anybody else experienced this? Can someone please help. Regards Darren.
