May 29, 20242 yr Jamming has been occurring for a while but the spoofing is now becoming more regular. Recently seen spoofing with the GPS position indicating 80nm off the aircraft’s actual position, and on another occasion the aircraft GPS was unaffected but the EFB IPad thought it was at Beirut Airport. I find the whole thing extremely irresponsible, with it’s known affect on civilian air traffic. The GPS position is linked to the TAWS and among the other issues is causing spurious Terrain warnings at cruise altitude, which isn’t pleasant. Time to rethink the retirement of ground based beacon navigation I think. 787 captain. Previously 24 years on 747-400.Technical advisor on PMDG 747 legacy versions QOTS 1 , FS9 and Aerowinx PS1.
