July 6, 20241 yr So I launched into MSFS today, when I have the FPS counter up, it shows I have a max of 10.9 GB VRAM on the main menu, once I load into the sim, it drops to only a total of like 8.9. Ive never seen this before, why is this happening? I have a RTX 4070 with 12 GB of VRAM.
July 6, 20241 yr The OS reserves some of that VRAM for its own use...what's left is available to programs. July 6, 20241 yr In-game counters like that usually shows what the software has reserved for itself / been allocated, not the full amount available on the card.
