Strange symptom: Menu entries missing

Featured Replies

A german X-Plane user asked my help, for some unknown reason one of the menus won't appear. We syncronized our P2A Step by step with identical figures up to the following point:

First i show a screenshot of the normal, functioning case, wich is my own:

spacer.png

when clicking on the entry "Clearance", the menu changes into a list of other entries e.g. "ready to copy IFR clearance".

But at my friends machine this list is empty ! Therefore he is stuck and the prgram cannot move further. How can that be? Is there an error with the CallSign?

Is it possible he has the favorites filter active ("Favs" button in green)?

No, Favs Filter is not active. I just read in the manual, probably he has a Callsigne created (GA) that wont be recogniced. We'll check

It's possible that the GrmmrHelperData.xml file is corrupted on your friend's PC in the Settings folder.

Reinstalling the latest beta update should fix it if that is the problem.

Also be sure the Recent filter is not activated, in addition to the Favs filter that Bob mentioned.

He is running the latest version 2.7.0.2

I Cant see any Beta Update anywhere.Furthermore he made a fresh re-install.

And by the way, I cant find any GrmmrHelperData.xml File, where should this be located?

A full reinstall or reinstall of the latest update, would refresh the GrmmrHelperData.xml file located in the Settings folder at:

C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\P2A_200\Settings
where <UserName> is your PC user name.

Also, make sure that the radio is on with the Green Power indicator in P2A on, and that the radio is tuned to a controller that can give clearance.  That could affect what options and phrases are available.

Problem solved!

After we knew through your Suggestion to have a look at this .xml File, it turned out, that this file was absent. Reason was a Windows Admin Rights-Problem. It is fixed and all is running fine.

Thanks again
