August 15, 20241 yr Subject sez it all. A document or web page with some hints and breadcrumbs would be awesome please and thank you. -B
August 15, 20241 yr Commercial Member That is kind of a broad subject. Where did you get stuck, can you give some clues about what the problem is? On flightsim.to there are a few AAO X-Touch templates for various aircraft, maybe start with one of them? LORBY-SI
August 15, 20241 yr Author Hi! Well not stuck yet cuz I’m just getting started. I just went thru and changed my settings from notes to whatever they are when not notes and numbered everything. Now I have an x-touch that is ready to be programmed but I’m not even ready for that. What I’m looking for at first is a way to discover and map key press values for later assignment. Can that be done and thank you in advance. -B

Make sure to reset the XT to factory defaults (disconnect the cable, hold down Layer A + B buttons, reconnect the cable, keep holding down the buttons until the device stops blinking). Do not make any manual changes on the XT device, that will only go wrong. AAO can handle whatever the XT is sending (Notes, CC, etc.), and that works best with the defaults - because templates that you download will expect the default configuration too. Under normal conditions, you never have to touch the Behringer XT Editor software. In AAO: 1. Make sure that "Hardware->Enable MIDI devices" is checked 2. When adding a new button, just press it on the XT and it will show up in AAO like a joystick button would. Controlling the lights behind the buttons is a different matter though - for that you have to check out the chapter about "MIDI Out" in the AAO manual. Edited August 16, 20241 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
August 16, 20241 yr I am using this https://de.flightsim.to/file/38162/x-touch-mini-gauge-for-use-with-aao-axis-and-ohs It's a bit complicated to set up and you have to assign the controls for the X-Touch in a separate config file, but it also allows you to control the LEDs. August 27, 20241 yr @touchdown84 You can use this site from Funatic to program the midi controller and then download the layer file. http://www.funatic.de/XTMGLB/alpha.html
