C-9 military version available

Does anyone reading this know if CoolSky made a Navy (C-9) Skytrain version or nightingale? There is a forum for this merch but like most tried and true devs then have

jumped ship for the MSFS 2020 side where the benjamins are and closed their forum.

The only aircraft I've seen from them is their DC-9/MD-80 package or you can buy them separately but that is all I see on their site.  It is possible they have made one at some point and then pulled it from the market for whatever reason, it happens.

Aircraft (coolsky.no)

Specs: MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon board, Ryzen 5800X CPU, 3600Mhz Corsair RAM, Sapphire Nitro+ RX 6900 XT GPU

Favorite Sims: FSX:SE, P3Dv5.4, X-Plane 11 & 12

But that would be a civilian DC-9-32 with US Navy textures. Or are there any performance/avionics/layout differences you're interested in?

Lossless Scaling for all my sims. What a godsend...

Mobile rig: ASUS Zenbook UM425QA (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H APU @3.2 GHz and boost disabled, 1 TB M.2 SSD, 16 GB RAM, Windows 11 Pro). Running FS9 there .

VKB Gladiator NXT Premium Left + GNX THQ as primary controllers. Xbox Series X|S wireless controller as standby/mobile.

This is a bit off topic but, how is the Cool Sky DC-9/MD-80 aircraft?  I've been thinking about getting it for a while now but don't know much about it.  Are they study level aircraft or at least mid level?

Actually, I don't know. I'm sure they are the best DC-9s available for P3D. I can't say about the MD-80, because I got the Maddog.

I've had rudder and elevator issues with it in both P3D V4.5 and V 5.4 click   here to see video.

As you can see from the link, the rudder and elevators flap (twitch) wildly till air born.  Other then that, it is fine.

Someone on another forum suggested to turn the yaw damper switch off, I did and that worked for a few minutes then

started with the twitching.  This was for P3D V4 SP1 - don't think they ever updated it any further.  Like most other devs,

they ran over to MSFS 2020 and forgot about P3D series. When you open the link, wait a few moments for the jet to start

moving. Anyone out there have this issue and a fix for it?

Better than the Sky Simulations DC-9 you mean?  That's the only other DC-9 I know of for P3D.  I've been debating to get the CoolSky package or if I should get the Sky Simulations DC-9 and spring for the Maddog instead.  I want both to have a DC-9 and an MD-80.

Looks like a joystick axis problem to me but I could be wrong.

Only thing that may be wrong about that theory is that this happens only this aircraft and no others.

SOLVED!

I stumbled on to a forum which discussed issues with flight controls for the SS DC-9 and lo and behold I located some switches that turned on some of the hydraulic pumps. Once I located and turned them on, the rudder and elevator issues disappeared. In a real DC-9 there's two switches on the F/O side of the main panel that are OFF-LOW-HI switches for the engine hydraulic pumps. You need LOW for flight controls and HI for flaps and gear.

I'm happy to hear you figured it out.

It's always a good idea to thoroughly read the aircraft manual to make sure you don't miss things like this.  I know reading manuals is tedious work but then you won't run into these kinds of issues.
