September 30, 20241 yr In one of the video tutorials I watched on the Fenix series, the narrator, who was a real life pilot said that in weather conditions where there was a strong head or crosswind, he would often select flaps 3 (conf3) to land, so he could do so at a slightly higher speed. I have followed his advice of a number of recent landings. To let the MCDU know what my intentions are, I select the Perf button on the MCDU, then scroll across to the Appr page, and I change the LDG config from Full to conf 3. As I start to make my final approach, the landing checklist appears on the upper ECAM, and it shows the flap setting required as FULL. I select flaps 3, but the checklist continues to show that Full flaps are required. Is this a bug?, or is there something else I need to do, to ensure the checklist on the ECAM is aligned with my intentions, as programmed into the MCDU George Westwell

September 30, 20241 yr Author Bob/Ian No I did not - that will no doubt be the answer. Many thanks to you both. Just had a further flight, engaged the flap three on the overhead, and it all worked as it should. Cheers and Happy Flying Edited September 30, 20241 yr by SquadronLeader George Westwell
