October 1, 20241 yr Had a quick flight in the Fenix A320 last night to test out my new Winwings FCU panel. Worked great. This morning ... MSFS can't "see" any of my "community" content: no Fenix, no PMDG, no scenery add-ons: nothing. Any ideas? 14900ks, RTX4090, 64Gb@6000-30-36-36-T2, Samsung 990Pro 2Tb , Dell G3223Q 32" 4k Gsync + 27" secondary monitor. Thrustmaster Airbus Edition throttles etc, TPR pedals, MiniCockpit FCU, WinWings FCU, WinWings Orion 2 F15E, WinWings A320 sticks.
October 1, 20241 yr Not sure why this would happen out of the blue. I assume that your community folder has not been emptied or deleted and that you have tried again after rebooting your PC. Is MSFS starting in safe mode? I can't remember offhand as I'm not on my PC, but I believe that one of the CFG files may have a pointer to your community folder, so worth checking those. I'm assuming that the community folder or its contents have not been zipped/archived. No, it's none of those things sadly. 14900ks, RTX4090, 64Gb@6000-30-36-36-T2, Samsung 990Pro 2Tb , Dell G3223Q 32" 4k Gsync + 27" secondary monitor. October 1, 20241 yr Author SOLUTION: For anyone else in this situation, try: 1. Make sure MSFS is not running. 2. Open File explorer and locate your "Community" folder. 3. Right-click on the "Community" folder, drag it onto the desktop and choose "Move" 4. Start MSFS. 5. Shut down MSFS. 6. Back in File explorer, right-click on the "Community" folder on the desktop and "Move" it back to where it should be. This seems to force MSFS to do some kind of re-scan. October 2, 20241 yr Search for the file UserCfg.opt in MSFS folder and open it with Notepad. At the end you'll find this line InstalledPackagesPath "C:\XXXXX" put the correct path and save the file. Good luck Alex C https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqT3Oe3qlHHZ3A0hIJguEIw

October 2, 20241 yr If you know some of the asset names in community, go to content manager in MSFS and type the name of one or more into the search bar in MSFS content manager. The assets should show up in the listings, and over on the right content manager will say Community. That means MSFS does see these assets in what MSFS considers to be your proper community folder. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. October 2, 20241 yr Lets say you bought KSFO online 3rd party, not bought in the marketplace. If MSFS lists it when you type KSFO in content manager and it says "community", then: MSFS sees your KSFO and also MSFS is saying that KSFO is in the correct community folder. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Thanks - I know! But this was a complete breakdown: none of the old tricks worked. The only "fix" was the one I eventually used (move Community folder, run MSFS, close MSFS, put back the Community folder, re-run MSFS, bingo!) 14900ks, RTX4090, 64Gb@6000-30-36-36-T2, Samsung 990Pro 2Tb , Dell G3223Q 32" 4k Gsync + 27" secondary monitor.
