October 3, 20241 yr I was wondering if reintroduction a flyover function could be considered I remember it’s been dropped because of complexity. How about making it simple of allowing RT traffic to appear but not parking any complex parking systems until somebody lands on that airport. It will allow to fly over airports , observe activities below and hopefully it would be simple to implement Just the traffic that is in RT data and none of the complex and sophisticated parking operations which still will be available under destination assignment and it obviously can only be activated when observer is let’s see below 5,000 within 5 miles. mike Sim,PC, monitor, prescription glasses, chair.
October 5, 20241 yr Hi guys, I'll soon come with a complete redesign of the setting destination airports. It will fill all your needs (on this topic, of course 😉 ) Nico

October 8, 20241 yr Author initial flying over KPDX and YSSY looks very promising. It keeps the life traffic active on the ground below and then loads the parking wen very close to the airport so I think that’s why the performance might not be a big problem I hope. With my very modest system I didn’t notice any deterioration Very initial testing Love it… Because I want all the airports to load when I’m flying over I created an my_park_airports.txt file that includes all my airports that I derived from the stock list. mike Sim,PC, monitor, prescription glasses, chair.

So about 19000? Don't forget that PSXT calculates the distance from the user aircraft to each of the airports in the my_park_airports.txt and sorts them based on distance, every 16 seconds... For the sake of performance, and considering you have a modest system, you better find tune that list to the region where you normally fly. Exactly for that reason I came up with the my_park_airports list, instead of PSXT calculating distances toevery airport on the planet (whichwould have been the most user friendly solution, but very time consuming) . One for US ,EU ,AU ,NZ and Pacific. And then I made a bat file to activate which ever I’m planning to fly in mike Sim,PC, monitor, prescription glasses, chair.
