October 7, 20241 yr I'm firmly in the camp of loving photogrammetry, warts and all, while also looking very forward to improvements in fidelity in the future. I really enjoy flying a helicopter around a city right now even with the problems that come w/ photogrammetry (I mean, our imaginations always have to play a role in simulation of any kind, right?), but I also hope that 20-30 years from now I'm doing the same thing with even more street-level detail than I could have ever imagined. Progress is a series of small steps, usually, and I'll enjoy each step for what it brings.
October 7, 20241 yr Most of my flying is low and slow. I'm in it for the scenery. When I fly over my house I want it to look like my house. When I fly from point A to point B I want to look for certain land marks to help me find my way. Not a Walmart that is a four story building. If I'm flying tubeliners at 30,000 feet I could care less. Just depends on what is your cup of tea. i7-10700 CPU @2.90 GHz, 32 GB Ram, nVadia GTX1660ti, Samsung 1 TB SSD Drive
