October 27, 20241 yr @Calvin-Pimax Hopefully one of you guys have a solution for me or a yes or no to weather its even possible. I want to ditch the monitor altogehter and have the Crystal light as the only display connected to my PC such that when I turn the PC on and put the headset on I basically see the desk top on a big screen in the headset right in front of me. I know there is a program called virtual desktop. Is this setup possible? October 28, 20241 yr Not sure about PIMAX, but with Queset 3 + VirtualDesktop, you can use Quest3 without turning on the PC monitor. That's actually how I enjoy videos in Q3 through VD. Essentially VD works like a remote desktop. Once you turn on the host PC, VD will be able to see and connect to it. You'll be right in front the login screen just like looking at the monitor. Works very well. 9950X3D / 64GB / RTX5090 / Pimax Crystal Light / Win11
October 28, 20241 yr Why would you want to get rid of your monitor? Having your CL strapped decimal points away from your eyeball as a monitor alternative will not end well in the long run for your eyeball health. AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, RTX 4080S, Ram - 32GB, 32" 4K Monitor, WIN 11. Eric Escobar

I spend very little time on my gaming computer. 1 hour a day if I'm lucky. I really only use it for FS and driving games. I want to move my computer to behind the couch in the living room since my office Is about to disappear due to renovations. The only other screen time I have is a 90 minute movie in the evening on a screen that I'm sitting 15 feet away from and the news while 'm making breakfast and getting ready for work. Then I only occasionally glance at that screen from 20 feet away anyway. Since I only use my gaming PC for the above and preparing one invoice every two weeks (20 mins) I'm not concerned. I don't need or want or have the space to connected a display to my gaming PC anymore. Plus since I have my gaming PC in a separate building on the same property it bothers my wife that I'm not there. When we lived in the house I was gaming in the next room. Now its the next building. The analogy would be If I have a beer after work when i get home she's OK with that but if I went to the pub for that beer that would be problem!🤣 Edited October 28, 20241 yr by FBW737 Intel Core i9-10900K at 5.2GHz, Corsair H115i PRO, ASUS MAXIMUS XII HERO Z490, G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 15-16-16-36, ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3090, SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2 2280 1TB x 3, Corsair HX Series HX1000 Watt PSU, Pimax Crystal LIght.

From there, you can toggle on the Desktop quick launch.

The virtual desktop opens up a treat. I can also select stuff with the controller-controlled cursor but I cant get the highlighted 'Play' button to click with the controllers (I think I've tried all the buttons!). How do I launch the chosen program? Ryzen 7 9800x3D @5.2GHz; ASUS X670-P Motherboard; nVidia 4080 (factory o/c); 32G 5600MHz DDR5 SDRAM; Pimax Crystal Light VR Headset; Quest 3 VR Headset

I know pimax play starts with the PC. Can a mouse button or a keyboard shortcut be mapped to the π button? I don't have or want controllers. November 3, 20241 yr Author I've almost gotten to the point where I can put on the headset turn the PC on. Do a few thing on the Desktop in Pimax Home Experience like check my email etc. Start MSFS set up a flight Start the flight in a window on the virtual screen in Pimax Home Experience then switch in VR mode in MSFS setting. Go fly then exit to main Menu. Switching back to monitor mode presents a slight problem! Once I switch back to monitor mode I see Pimax universe in the headset for a few seconds and then the Pimax Home Experience appears but without the desktop displayed. The mouse pointer appears but moving the mouse does not move the pointer indicating that the Pimax Home Experience is not in focus. My work arround is that I know Pimax Home Experience is the last icon on the task bar so if I move the mouse to a position where I know the pointer is at the bottom of the screen that incrementally move left and click the pointer in the set will move after the 3 or 4th click because at somepoint I'm bound to click on the icon for Pimax Home Experience bring it into focus. I can then bring up the desktop again in the Pimax Home Experience and from there don some other tasks or just shut it down. So I can get from turning the PC on to turning it off without removing the headset. Still the Main monitor has to be connected but I may have a solution for that too. just haven't had the time to try it yet. FYI if you disconnect the Main monitor and turn the PC on Pimax Home Experience with still appear in the Headset once the system is fully booted up but if you click on the desktop Icon in Pimax Home Experience it will just show you a blank with screen in the theatre. I have forwarded this request to the dev team weeks ago to explore controller-free implementation options.

This suggestion has been forwarded to the dev team. We’re also preparing a survey targeted at simulation users to gather feedback on features you’d like added to Pimax Play, such as an FPS counter, eye-gaze as a pointer, voice control, and more.
