MSFS SDK

Featured Replies

Hi,

I cannot install the latest version of SDK. It says I need a dll for the install to complete, and also asks to contact the vendor.

I uninstalled version 18, and now I cannot install 18 as well.

Solutions?

Anyone who understands this?

I tried to reinstall microsoft redistributable C++. It doesn't help.

Don't you need the actual sim installed to use the sdk? Surely that's your missing dll?

If you're referring to SDK 2024, note that installation is restricted to Dev Alpha marketplace partners only.

I have installed without any marketplace involvement; it does install but not compile; having said that; tested the 2024 samples; some compile with the 2020 sdk without problems; I had to install the desktop runtime 8.0.8 worked well:

Download .NET 8.0 (Linux, macOS, and Windows)   .NET Runtime 8.0.8   is what is need if not installed (it worked for me)
